During the summer of 2022, I took piano lessons again and learned a piece that I always wanted to learn: Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, or “Pathetique.”
After a few months of lessons, my piano teacher, Dr. Lina Lee, invited me to perform in a masterclass at Farley’s House of Pianos in Madison, WI. This was a really special opportunity for me because masterclasses are usually reserved for professional music students. Masterclasses are an opportunity to practice performing in front of an audience, while also getting advice and coaching from a well-known musician.
